My name is Damon Kirschbaum. I am the owner and managing attorney of Kirschbaum Law Group, LLC, a Connecticut law firm with a statewide probate practice that focuses on complex and important probate disputes.
We help people in power of attorney accounting proceedings, which are legal proceedings for obtaining information about the conduct of agents under powers of attorney, for obtaining approval for the past or future conduct of agents, and for obtaining relief for the misconduct of agents. Agents under powers of attorney are fiduciaries for another person, who is called the principal.
We represent people in power of attorney accounting proceedings who are agents, principals, fiduciaries for people who are principals, and other people—such as spouses, children, and parents of people who are principals—who have an interest in the estates of the principals.
We help agents comply with their fiduciary duties to principals, defend their conduct as agents, and obtain approval for their conduct as agents.
We also help principals, fiduciaries for principals, and other people who have an interest in the estates of principals to obtain information about the conduct of agents, and to obtain relief for the misconduct of agents.
